Perris Panthers Varsity Takes Victory In High-Scoring Game Over Sherman Indian, 12-7

There were runs aplenty on Saturday, as Perris Panthers Varsity defeated Sherman Indian 12-7.

Perris Panthers Varsity got on the board in the first inning when Izabelle Kane singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Perris Panthers Varsity put up four runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught came from a walk by Destiny Curiel and a groundout by Lisette Rodriguez.
Sherman Indian scored three runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Sherman Indian came thanks to an error on a ball put in play by #9 and #10.

Rodriguez led things off in the circle for Perris Panthers Varsity. She lasted three and a third innings, allowing four hits and seven runs while striking out four and walking one.

#5 was in the circle for Sherman Indian. She allowed seven hits and 12 runs over five innings, striking out four.

Belen De La Cruz went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Perris Panthers Varsity in hits. Perris Panthers Varsity stole 11 bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Melissa Loaiza led the way with three.

#5 led Sherman Indian with three hits in three at bats.
